Every day my goal is to ensure our guests are treated to the best motorcoach travel experiences in the industry. When I created Getaway Vacations, I chose to offer premium travel, not discount adventures. If you choose to vacation with us I am confident you will see us the same way. Our motorcoaches are simply top-of -the line luxury including plush leather seats, multiple on-board entertainment options and those little touches like complimentary bottled water, pull-down shades and footrests.
When you arrive at our destinations, we have you at only 3+ star accommodations or better and waterfront locations whenever possible. Our tour managers are 100% committed to one thing and one thing only - your enjoyment.

Our full-size luxury Prevost H3-45 motor coaches are all 2017 models or newer and updated with the latest health and safety measures. These beautiful units are fully state-of-the-art with the latest and most comfortable features to make your travel more enjoyable. For smaller groups we also offer our 32 passenger "Mini-Coach. Our coaches are the ultimate in luxury travel for both our tours and charter clients.

What amenities are in your motor coaches?
ANSWER
Our motor coaches are modern and luxurious with spacious leather seating and extra legroom similar to first-class seats on an aircraft. You can expect Wi-Fi as well as a DVD player and 110 outlets. Most importantly, our coaches are climate controlled for your utmost comfort, and have fully equipped washrooms.
Will you provide me with information on the sights along the way?
ANSWER
Yes. We have an experienced Tour Director on board who will fill you in on all the important sights along the way. They will also assist with information and arrangements for other excursions not part of your tour. We are happy to help with anything that will make your trip more enjoyable. Just ask us.
How long have your drivers been in the business?
ANSWER
Our drivers are well-seasoned and have been taking care of travelers for over 30 years. The routes for our trips are very familiar routes to our crew.
Can I make requests for a specific hotel floor?
ANSWER
Definitely. We will make sure that the hotel is aware of any specific needs that you have and they will do their best to accommodate.
Are you able to accommodate my food allergies?
ANSWER
Absolutely! Please make us aware of any food allergies that you have. We can make sure that restaurants are aware where meals are included.
I have difficulty carrying my luggage, can you help with that?
ANSWER
Yes we can! Each guest is allowed one bag and when available, we take care of loading and unloading your luggage for you, and ensure it is delivered to your hotel room. Please note: This amenity may not be available at all hotel locations.
Can you give me a specific itinerary for the trip?
ANSWER
Each guest will be provided with an itinerary upon boarding
Will we be stopping for several nights in one city or do we pack and move everyday?
ANSWER
One of the reasons our guests love our trips is that every trip has multi-night stays so you can unpack and relax. Usually we stop at the major cities for at least 2 nights and up to 5 nights. We can give you information about your specific trip so that you will see how many nights you stay in each city.
Is every day totally planned for me?
ANSWER
We strike a balance between leisure time and planned tours so that you have time to enjoy what you prefer. If you would like to take in a sight that is not on the tour, we will try to arrange it for you. If possible, we will organize a group so that you can take advantage of a discount as well.
I have mobility challenges. Can I still travel with you?
ANSWER
We strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for all our customers. While we make every effort to accommodate individuals with mobility issues, it's important to note that some of our tours may present challenges for those with specific accessibility needs. We recommend contacting our customer service team in advance to discuss any concerns or requirements, allowing us to better understand your unique situation and explore potential accommodations. Our goal is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
Passengers that may require a wheelchair for all or part of a tour should be prepared to bring along their own attendant to assist them.
What is your cancellation policy?
ANSWER
For short tours and day trips, payment is required at the time of booking. There are NO REFUNDS for cancellations. All bookings are TRANSFERABLE.
For long tours, A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due 45 days prior to scheduled departure on most tours.
To guarantee a long tour, we must reach minimum numbers of passengers that have paid a deposit before the date we have to cancel accommodations or events. This can be 60 days prior to departure. If we don’t receive the minimum number, the trip will be cancelled. Waiting to book your spot until the trip is guaranteed may well cause the tour to be cancelled.
Should someone not be able to commit to making a deposit/payment, they can be placed on a waiting list in hopes a spot will still be available for their desired trip.
We suggest all guests purchase Trip Cancellation insurance. If paying by credit card, this may be a benefit already offered through your credit card company. Since COVID-19 hit the travel industry so hard hotel cancellation policies have changed drastically, which have affected our operations.

Do I need travel insurance in place prior to my trip?
ANSWER
We suggest you consider travel insurance in case something happens during or before your trip. Some providers are Blue Cross, AMA and RBC. There are many others you can contact to request a quote.
How do I pay?
ANSWER
We will gladly accept all forms of payment: e-Transfer, Cheque, Debit, Cash, Credit Card (3% Surcharge applies). GST included in all prices shown.
